Welcome to the website of the Swiss conductor Laurent Zufferey.
Known for is energetic style across a wide range of repertoire and ensembles, he graduated with distinction from the the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (UK). Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Valéik (CH) since 2021, he currently holds the positions of assistant conductor at the Basel Sinfonietta (CH) and at the Orchestre National de Lyon (F).

Laurent Zufferey jumps in to replace Chief Conductor Nioklaj Szeps-Znaider in a program including a world premier by Bechara El-Khoury, Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto and Nielsen's 4th Symphony.
Laurent Zufferey has been appointed as the new assistant conductor of the Orchestre national de Lyon in March 2023. He will take up his post for two years, starting in September 2023. He will work alongside Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider to study all his scores, attend his rehearsals and discuss his artistic interpretative choices.
